At Heart Pine Design we pride ourselves in providing a premium product while being responsible and affordable . We have called the little St. Mary's River home for decades and our mission is to keep it as beautiful as ever while sharing a piece of it's history with our customers. We stay in close contact with local wildlife management to ensure we only operate in an environmentally sustainable way. We keep all permits up to date and report any potentially historical findings to the local Smithsonian. This isn't just a business for us, but a way to make a difference and slow down deforestation in our local area. By relying heavily on our state-of-the-art sonar system, we can identify the best longleaf pines to recover by analyzing their density from the river's surface. This also ensures we aren't encroaching on any local ecosystems in a potentially damaging way. This is an important difference when considering our business because we do not simply grab the easiest or most accessible logs, instead we only recover the highest quality ones that will result in the lowest environmental impact to our beautiful river.
